Mental health issues are nothing but a silent killer. We talk about health, hygiene and discuss this with our friends and family. But we never share the issues regarding our mental health.
In fact it has increased during and after the COVID 19 lockdown period. People have lots of friends on social media but in reality there is none.
Another issue for some young people is that they cannot enter into any particular group as they are introverted in nature or may be for some other reason they can’t gel with other people.
There are so many people around us but still emptiness and loneliness grasp digest everything and every little thing.
We all know that sharing mental health issues are still a stigma and if people know it very little helps coming from them. Maximum just enjoy it, misuse it, abuse it; or they just do various kinds of exploitation. For them you become a mad person.
Another aspect is sharing with some people made the case worse than before as they try to dig deeper that wound and add salt to it or causes further mental trauma.
I think we can only address the problem only when we raise our voice jointly, and help each other. A joint effort on mental health issues will certainly work wonders.
