A proud Indie

Kaustav Ghosh

Proud to be an Indian-

Yes, we wrote it on red letter day.

We wrote in the social media here and there.

But still we hesitate to buy Indian products.

Still we think out of a colonial belief,

Indian product is worst and cheap.

Those puppies are not an object or product,

Cutest thing you can ever see.

They can not be thrown like an useless toy,

They love you more than you.

They live and die for you,

They want love and care, like every creature.

If you can not find love and life on strays-

Still searching for a foreign breed,

You think you are buying lively object,

But believe me they are not an object you can buy.

You can not, you should not.

You can’t cast your caste on them-

Some superior, some untouchable.

Love them as they are-

From a proud Indian,

Who adopted indie pup.
